The Town Halls along the Costa del Sol have been working hard to revive the reputation of the area and make it an obvious choice for tourists.

Marbella hosted the Davis Cup last month which drew huge crowds, resulted in high expenditure in the area and gave the region much needed television and media coverage.

They have also just completed the first Food and Sun event which showcased Marbella’s gastronomic strengths and they hope to make an annual event. Marbella is also investing in an international Public Relations campaign to raise the profile of the area abroad.

Mijas Town Hall has also been trying hard to attract tourists and has already seen promising results. They have been organizing a host of activities such as tapas and seafood routes, night-time artisan markets, and musical performances to pull in the visitors and increase spending in the area. Following this scheme, the town saw a 4.6 per cent increase in visitors in July, and a seven per cent rise in the first half of August, compared to the same periods last year, which is great news for homeowners in the area. HomeCareontheWeb has also been working hard to raise the profile of the area and increase tourism. We have had articles on Marbella and the Costa del Sol featured in publications such as the Birmingham Mail, Women & Golf Magazine, Living in Spain Magazine and many well respected websites such as Travelbite.co.uk and The Travel Magazine online. We will continue this work to strengthen the area’s tourist industry and help our owner’s to get higher rental returns. Visit our website to learn more about our Spain property management services
