paintingThere’s no doubt that winter has arrived on the Costa del Sol, after a very mild and dry autumn. There was a lot of rain at the end of November, a relief for the water tables and good news for the year to come, but it can put a lot of pressure on Costa del Sol houses, which were built for heat, not for rain. A long hot summer can damage walls and roof tiles which can crack in the intense heat and start to let water in. Also, if you are not renting your property, or using it over the winter season, the property gets cold and damp which can damage the interior and furnishings.

As Costa del Sol property management and maintenance specialists, we would suggest that during wet periods you keep an extra special eye on your property, looking out for signs of leaks or damp and getting them fixed as soon as possible. Taking action quickly can really make a difference! If you do see some damp, consider using a dehumidifier and regularly air and heat the property to keep it at bay.
